As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a central role in securing and automating the delivery of Ratehub’s applications and services to our users and managing the infrastructure our development team depends on.

The successful candidate will work closely with product managers, developers, and QA to build and maintain the development and release infrastructure used to reliably deliver services to our customers.Your ResponsibilitiesAutomate everything to enable simple and reliable developer workflows from code check-in to delivery to ProductionUse the GitOps model for declarative management of build, deployment, and infrastructureBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines and supporting toolsWork with dev and qa teams to coordinate integration of test automation in our build and release pipelinesImprove security, reliability, and observability of all parts of our software stack and delivery processYour Qualifications3+ years of related experience as a DevOps or Site-Reliability EngineerLinux/Unix, Docker and KubernetesBash Scripting and at least one other programming languageIaC (Infrastructure as Code): Terraform, Ansible, or othersDigitalOcean, GCP, or other cloud providerSource control: Git and GitHub or equivalentKubernetes ingresses (such as nginx) and API GatewaysArgoCD, GitHub Actions or other delivery pipeline toolshelm/kustomize and FaaSSecurity and secrets-management: Vault, SOPS, cloud KMS, or similarService Mesh such as Linkerd or similarLogging, Monitoring and Alerting tools: NewRelic or similarfamiliarity with FaaS and micro-services architectureAutomatic Semantic VersioningNice to have: experience with Webpack, Babel, Next.Js and/or other frontend build pipelinesOur Tech Stack:Linux and Docker with Kubernetes for orchestrationGCP and DigitalOcean cloud platformsServices and tools developed in Node JS, Java, PHP, Python, and Go-langWe use GitHub Actions combined with ArgoCD and Argo Workflows for our CI/CD pipelinesCULTURE FITFun: You bring your whole self to work and make an effort to contribute to our workplace culture in a positive wayDo the right thing: You are able to assess both customer and company needs to make good business choicesGrowth mindset: You love to learn and try new thingsWilling to Help: You care about your team members and are willing to help out outside your realm of expertise.Impact orientated: You are motivated by results and track to completionJOB PERKSCompetitive salary: We know it’s expensive to live/work in TorontoFlexible hours: Enjoy a couple more hours of sleep in the morning, if you wantBenefits: Health is wealth!
