BE allows them to build a customizable platform that supports a wide range of revenue opportunities.We have a summer opportunity for a Business Development Assistant to join our Branded Editions team.

This is a temporary assignment for a maximum duration of 8 weeks.As part of the Branded Editions team, you will enjoy a fast-paced environment that will allow you to engage with passionate stakeholders who love and know the publishing industry very well.

This role requires effective communication and interpersonal skills in order to reach out to customers and to fully collaborate with members of the team on various areas.

You will lead or contribute on one or more projects by offering admin support, doing market research or tasks required for business development.

You will gain experience in the publishing industry and business development.In this role, you will Do market research and identify key future markets Conduct competitive and market best practices audits Support client presentations and business development efforts with strategic thinking, research, and analysis Assist the Business Development team on various tasks within each account Assist research of new products, markets, value propositions Reach out to customers to setup demo calls Generate customer lead by reaching out contact on LinkedIn You are a great fit if you have A strategic mindset and strong analytical skills Strong written and verbal skills with business presentation experience Exceptional skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word A proactive approach to achieve the desired results Bonus points if you Are an undergraduate student of Business Administration Have good business presentation experience Are interested in Journalism Have a sense of humor Have a strong interest in the technology sector This role is a full-time position based in our Richmond, BC office.
