Job Description Job Title: Program Coordinator 6 5% Work Site: Tertiary Mental Health Adult Rehab, Willow Pavilion, Vancouver General Hospital Status: Temporary Full Time Start Date: As soon as possible until approximately September 2023 Salary: $45.08
– $56.36 per hour Hours: 0800-1600 Days off: Saturday, Sunday, and statutory holidays Reference: 148677-anc Come work as a Program Coordinator with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a leader with a Master’s Degree in Health Sciences to join the team at Vancouver General Hospital’s Willow Pavillion as a Program Coordinator.

Apply today to join our team As a Program Coordinator you will: Coordinate daily activities of the program/service and provide leadership in the planning and implementation of innovative and creative approaches for delivery of high quality, value added and efficient services to support/promote health and illness prevention strategies that address health issues of clients and/or individuals with complex mental health illnesses and/or addiction issues.

Supervise more than twelve (12) Health Sciences Professional FTEs; participate in staff selections, schedule/coordinate work assignments and priorities and facilitate workplace solutions.

Act as a clinical resource for members and promote interdisciplinary collaboration for treatment concerns, continuity of care, and community resource coordination.

Participate in quality improvement activities and recommend and develop policies and procedures.

Oversee the collection of statistical and performance data and ensure reporting requirements/submissions are met.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Master’s Degree in a Health Science profession from a recognized program.

Diploma/Certificate in staff development/leadership plus five (5) years’ recent, related experience including one (1) year supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Valid B.C.

driver’s license.

Local area travel requires the use of a personal vehicle for which mileage reimbursement will be paid.

Knowledge & Abilities Knowledge of the principles of recovery in mental illness.

Knowledge of Psychosocial Rehabilitation methodology.

Thorough knowledge of drug and alcohol-related addictions, and mental health issues/problems.

Demonstrated program development skills Broad knowledge of other facilities and community resources.

Broad knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care.

Broad knowledge of legislation and government policies and procedures that relate to client.

Demonstrated ability to provide supervision, leadership, work direction and guidance.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with clients, families, team members, other groups and community agency personnel.

Demonstrated listening and information seeking skills that promotes communication and lead to a co-operative approach to problem solving within an interdisciplinary setting.

Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities.

Thorough knowledge of facilitation, mediation, and conflict resolution techniques, and demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.

Demonstrated case management, teaching/training, clinical support and consultation skills.

Demonstrated ability to provide group leadership, facilitate staff professional development, facilitate change, and perform needs assessments.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships, with a commitment to the development of a client-centered integrated community-based service delivery program and community involvement approach.

Ability to administrate, oversee and coordinate the delivery of community health services.

Ability to develop and implement projects involving an interdisciplinary team and other community agencies.

Ability to carry out the physical demands of the job.

Basic computer literacy to operate a computerized client care information system and word processing, spreadsheet, Internet and e-mail software.
