The Sales Account Manger is responsible to develop and grow the Audio-Technica consumer audio business by increasing new retail customer relationships and managing Audio-Technica’s reps & existing account relationships to grow overall revenue and profitability and to achieve or exceed business targets.

The Sales Account Manager will determine sales channel and account strategies, and manage implementation to meet or exceed the company’s growth and strategic goals.

Work as part of a multifunctional team to achieve annual targets.

Cultivate and develop relationships with national and regional retail customers and chains to successfully place Audio-Technica products and drive brand awareness and recognition in the consumer business landscape.

Work within professional teams to create momentum to enhance the overall brand image of Audio-Technica to dedicated distribution channels (online and offline).

Proactively capture, monitor, and manage consumer, customer, and market developments and requirements, and represent and share business insights and information with the management team and colleagues.

Responsibilities: Achievement of assigned account management and revenue targets while ensuring profitability measures and business goals.

Responsible for all aspects of retail account management and e-commerce management for assigned accounts using best practices in sales operations, communication, and distribution.

Plan and organize efforts to systematically develop relationships of targeted customers and buying groups to increase sales and brand awareness.

Identify and proactively generate sales leads, manage business and distribution opportunities.

As appropriate, work with marketing and logistic teams to address and meet specific customer and market needs and requirements.

Translate customer needs into new distribution and merchandising opportunities and revenue streams; quantify opportunities; provide meaningful data and metrics to support sales and distribution initiatives, and informed business decisions.

Analyze and report on the account and business developments and market opportunities in alignment with strategic plans.

Goal-oriented, effective management, and communication with rep firms as required.

Agreement of annual sales targets based on yearly account and product category development targets.

Foster professional relationships with selective independent representatives and dealers.

Work collaboratively to drive effective and efficient offline and online business solutions.

Understand and communicate a strategic view of consumer, distribution, and market trends, providing meaningful input as to products, concepts, distribution, and marketing initiatives as required.

Provide consumer and market perspectives to support product development and marketing teams as required.

Recommend changes in selling prices on existing products and future products and services by using consumer market information.

As part of account management, provide frequent and direct communication with the internal purchasing team to forecast and meet customer demands.

Proactively seek customer rolling forecasts and monitor sales and inventory trends.

Foster and maintain a high level of team morale and commitment to colleagues and the company.

The position requires national and occasional international travel, including the attendance of various trade shows.

Other duties as assigned Required skills Bachelor’s Degree or combined education/work experience equivalent Bilingual (English/French) required Results driven with a proactive and aggressive sales approach; competitive; and self-motivated attitude Excellent account management, e-commerce, and customer service management skills Excellent oral and written communications, preparation of documents, reports, and presentations for internal and external use Profound understanding and knowledge of customer needs and requirements to consumer and technology trends and its implications on product requirements and business solutions Professional demeanor and good organizational skills Strong work ethic with the ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Ability to make informed decisions quickly and effectively Problem-solving / conflict resolution and negotiation skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience using CRM software and pipeline management tools Demonstrable experience with system-based sales and sales management methodologies SAP experience desirable Strong organizational and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills
