Senior National Marketing & Administration Manager – Sazerac Brands

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Based in one of the Charton-Hobbs’ offices in Vancouver, Calgary, or Montreal
– reporting to the Sr.

Executive Vice President, in tandem with the Sazerac Canada GM and market management team, this position will work closely with the CH Sazerac provincial market Regional Marketing Managers, Regional Vice Presidents, Sales Managers, Finance, IT, designated Duty free, national, and regional account personnel, and the USA Sazerac marketing department teams, External PR, social media, E commerce.

Promotional agencies and Liquor Board, national or regional on-premises marketing departments as required.

This challenging position is responsible for the following key tasks.

· Develop and maintain a national planning calendar with key dates for planning and objective tracking, Brand plans, forecast LE’s, budget status updates, monthly, quarterly reporting or meetings, product allocation deadlines, POS ordering, Timing of core national product launches or programs/events, Scheduling of annual strategic Board or key account meetings, other key activities that are across markets.

· Standardize reporting templates, presentations, briefing documents, ensure KPI and measurements for core activities.

Timely submission of national and regional reports.

· Assist in development of brand strategies, market, consumer, competitive brands, and trade insights.

· Budget control and tracking of national and regional level spending with RMM’s, Forecast updates.

· National marketing initiatives coordination with PR, SM, event firms and national press.

· Manage product allocations and POS ordering.

With RMM’s, ensure locally produced materials adhere to standards.

· Proper briefing documents and measurable KPI’s for core programs.

Post program assessments.

· Validate the national/ regional marketing plans; recommend changes or adjustments to achieve volume and share goals.

· Coordinate Sazerac internal and external brand training requirement
· Assist in developing key on and off premise programs and presentations and third-party brand partnerships.

Job Requirements:
· Bachelor of Commerce degree or higher, Marketing majors preferred;
· Five years of sales and marketing experience preferably industry related
· Strong knowledge of spirts industry.

· Experience and knowledge of the marketing and sales policies of Canadian Liquor Boards,
· The position may require moderate levels of domestic and international travel
– valid passport a requirement.

· Moderate level of evening and weekend event related work schedules,
· The ability to prioritize, work under tight deadline pressures, multitask, critical thinking, analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

· Well-developed leadership, interpersonal communications skills, negotiation, presenting, team building, and customer service.

· Fluent written and spoken English, French an added asset.

· Highly developed skills within a Microsoft software universe, knowledge of E commerce and social media environments.
