The OpportunityThe Business Development Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Business Development.

You will be responsible for supporting Tiree in leading and developing strategies to secure identified opportunities to meet the goals and objectives essential to the organization’s growth.

You will develop and execute business plans as well as work collaboratively to refine proposal strategies, establish new partnerships and shape new business opportunities.

Additionally, you will develop an in-depth understanding of the client’s needs to maintain and build upon relationships in existing programs.

You are someone who can represent Tiree with humility, professionalism, and integrity.

ResponsibilitiesManage existing accounts and develop new opportunities for revenue generation through effective client relationships.Maintain and grow relevant market and industry knowledge in order to engage with the customer and potential partners within the business.Identify, assess, qualify, and action new sales leads across a portfolio of accounts.Schedule and lead regular meetings and business reviews with clients to develop long-term, positive relationships.Oversee proposal strategy development and execution including pricing, teaming and partnerships.Prepare written documentation, unsolicited proposals, and deliver presentations to new and existing clients.Attentively develop a comprehensive understanding of client needs, feasible strategies and effective solutions as a trusted advisor.Coordinate with other team members and colleagues to strengthen and solidify robust organizational goals.Leverage company’s CRM software through consistent use.

Essential QualificationsUniversity degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Project Management, or a related field.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.Over 8 years of experience in business development, and account management; preferably within the professional services industry.Significant experience in developing a rapport with new and existing senior-level clients within the Government of Canada.A keen eye for organization, lead tracking, and shifting priorities while maintaining a high-level of motivation and attention to detail.A high degree of business acumen with the ability to work well under the guidance of colleagues and senior management, as well as independently.Proficiency in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.Must be able to obtain a Secret (Level II) Security Clearance.
