AKKA Group North America is looking for an Intermediate Python Test Developer who would like to join a dynamic and growing company in Montreal, to support one of its customers in the Space sector.

The position is to be filled in Montreal, as soon as possible.The selected candidate will be a member of a cross-functional team reporting to a software project lead and will write automated tests to verify hardware designs with and without embedded software.

He/she will support the test campaigns of the deliverable hardware/software article(s).

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in the design, development and maintenance of test infrastructure on the Windows 10 platform.

This requires excellent Python development skills.Design and develop utilities to process and visualize various types of test data including telemetry and command logs.Implement APIs to provide access to utilities and accelerate test development.Produce related design documentation and user’s guides.Develop Python test scripts to verify a deliverable article’s various development models; Support the deliverable article’s testing either in simulation or with models of the real hardware (AI& T), including the deliverable flight hardware; Produce the related documentation (ideally in an executable form)May participate in formal reviews with customerSupport the software automation processParticipate in an Agile development teamImplement/support Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment when appropriate YOUR PROFILE & SKILLS Bachelor in Computer Engineering or Software or another relevant degree with complementary experienceMinimum of 5 years of software development experience, and a minimum of 3 years of related experience to the positionExperience designing automated tests for hardware/software platformsScripting/programming experience (e.G.
