Identifying this ideal match between attitude, skill and need, leads to success.Next Pathway is located in the heart of the Financial District, minutes from Union Station and the Subway.We are looking for a skilledNetwork Automation/DevOps Engineerto join our team!Responsibilities:Deploy and support dynamically scalable, available, fault-tolerant, secure, and reliable applications on-premises and in the CloudDevelop and maintain automation scripts as required for configuration management, application deployment, System and Network Infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, alerting and log aggregation.Provide operational expertise as a member of DevOps team.Create and maintain documentation for network environments and user documentation for utilizing network services.Leverage and expand use of automation across all activities to build operational scale with use of tools like Ansible, puppet, Chef etc.Engineer Secure Networking Infrastructure to support hybrid-cloud applicationsManage and maintain VMWare ESXi hostsManage cloud resources in GCP, Azure and AWSManage Network infrastructure: Cisco Firewall, Cisco Switches, Routers, controllersManage Active Directory synchronization process with Azure AD and On-premises AD DS.UPS managementSupport Data Center/Server Room and Cloud Operations: System Provisioning, Monitoring/Alerting, Network Configuration, Administration of Linux, Windows, VMWare/vSphere and Cloud ComputingSupport Power outage activity (Rebooting of Servers, Systems, Network, Redundancy checks etc.)Setup and maintenance of company laptopsVOIP and Telepresence administration and supportRogers Fibre Optic Internet Service and Managed Wi-Fi SupportUnderstand the resiliency and security requirements to properly manage the Infrastructure and the associated data and access controlsDocument all Infrastructure processes and proceduresConduct Internal Reviews of Infrastructure components and recommendations for improvementsManage CI/CD pipelinesInstallation/configuration and administration of ETL Tools like Informatica, DataStage etc.
·Administer, monitor, and deploy systems and services per internal standards, external accrediting agency standards and legal requirements Required Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or equivalent5 Years of Progressive Technical (Hands-On) Experience related to Cloud Systems Development, Implementation, Security and Administration on AWS/Azure/GCPMinimum 5 years of technical hands-on experience with Network Administration, Automation and Monitoring.Minimum 5 years of experience with OS System Administration (Linux, Windows)AWS Solutions Architect, AWS/Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer or EquivalentStrong knowledge of IP routing, VLANs, Access Control Lists.Knowledge of, and experience implementing best practices to enforce network and system security e.G., ISO 27001 specification standards.Experience securing infrastructure with firewalls, IDS/IPS products and configuration of VPN between sites using IPsec as well as between users and sites.Analyzing network data captures with tools such as Wireshark.Experience maintaining network configurations with version control systems.Expertise managing Network infrastructure: Cisco Firewall, Cisco Switches, Routers, controllers etc.Experience working with orchestration and configuration management tools such as Ansible or PuppetExperience working with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform or ARM Templates.Experience with Network and System Security Administration, Including: Operating System Security Configuration and Account Management, Best Practices for Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat), Window Server, Windows Clients, Microsoft Exchange, CISCO Systems.Experience with VOIP and Telepresence administration and supportIn-depth knowledge of build/release systems, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, groovy pipelinesExcellent Scripting skills with Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell etc.Experience with container technologies like docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS etc.Deep understanding of TCP, UDP, SSL/TLS protocolsExperience with managing/provisioning of Employee laptopsPenetration testing experience is good to have.Experience supporting and using Jira, Bitbucket, ConfluenceStrong problem-solving skillsSolution-focused, takes initiative to work effectively within established guidelinesProven ability to work collaboratively within a team environmentExcellent written / verbal communication and professional maturityStrong Work Ethic with a Positive Attitude and a Passion for TechnologyOther Technologies you Might Work with Include: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Basecamp: Project Management & Team CommunicationSlack: Messaging PlatformZoom: Meetings and Video ConferencingConfluence: Collaboration ToolJIRA: Project Management SoftwareOther Skills: Team Player with Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)Strong Work Ethic with a Positive Attitude and a Passion for Data and DevelopmentStrong Analytical and Problem-Solving SkillsExcellent Time Management Skills
