Job Description Reporting to the Team Leader, the Picker is responsible for sorting various kinds of metals on the conveyors: Prepare the material to feed the various machines Participate in the maintenance of the shredder Maintain cleanliness of the work area Keep worksite clean Contribute to any other tasks related to the department Qualifications 3 to 6 months of experience as a labourer Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment Knowledge of metals (an asset) Willingness to wear personal protective equipment Required competencies: Health and safety awareness Good physical condition Resourcefulness Attention to detail; ability to do repetitive work Punctuality and diligence Capacity for teamwork Additional Information Full time and permanent position Day shift Overtime available What we offer: ON-SITE TRAINING Work clothes and boots Group insurance after three months Group RRSP after six months Overtime at time-and-a-half after 44 hours Free parking American Iron & Metal and its subsidiaries offer equal employment opportunities to everyone.
