This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted March 31, 2021.

The position operates: Monday – Friday (flexible working schedule based on customer needs) Pension (after completing probation) Benefits (after completing probation) Out of home office Travel required (mileage paid on personal vehicle) Compensation Structure: Base Commission Position Summary: The Business Development Manager will focus on sourcing and developing new dealers who specialize in Agriculture while working closely with the Quebec Dealers to help develop their businesses through planning, organizing and directing the activities.

The primary objective of this role is to lead the new and existing dealers in growth and agricultural market saturation.

This role operates independently from the employee’s home office and customer locations.

Position Qualifications: Education & Knowledge A university degree or college diploma in business or agriculture – preferred Knowledge of construction – asset Knowledge of fabric buildings – asset Skills A high level of leadership skills, particularly focused in sales Experience in Project Management Tolerant of risk Experience developing dealer/distributor network & dealer sales growth Leverage existing company and industry resources to maximize results Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks Excellent task and time management Ability to work without direct supervision Proven organizational, negotiation, communication, sales and problem-solving skills Able to operate all Microsoft Office Programs Experience 10 years sales experience (including direct sales) 5 years Direct agricultural experience or related ag industry 5 years dealer development experience 2 years construction related experience – asset Communication Bilingual French (Primary) and English – Mandatory Excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills Ability to interact in a team environment with a team mindset Physical Demands: This position is very physically demanding, including: Walking or other means of transport Standing Sitting Kneeling Bending / Twisting Outdoor weather conditions Responsibilities: Source and develop new dealers where we are not currently represented Maintain a full understanding of all aspect of Britespan; products, markets, manufacturing, and engineering as well as competitor-equivalent products and relevant company and competitor channel programs/promotions Develop and maintain knowledge of market, agriculture and commercial, and construction standards Manage and nurture relationships with the Quebec dealer network Development and follow through of dealer sales strategy to achieve significant growth in QC Evaluate the dealers geographical area and market potential to set niche and sales targets Utilization of CRM data base Ensure compliance with invoicing and collections schedule Profit and loss business unit responsibility Assist with distribution of leads while ensuring proper follow up of leads sent to dealers Support to dealers in meeting with clients and assist with closing sales contracts Work with customers and dealers to provide a complete solution for customers’ needs Attend trade shows with dealers Assist to manage direct sales to clients Direct sales of commercial and agriculture buildings where there is no dealer representation Project manage and problem solve when there is a sales order, quality or install challenge Liaise with Britespan’s internal teams to address challenges, optimize quote opportunities and drive regional dealer growth Liaise with Architects and Engineers to promote the resolution of project solutions Engage and leverage relationships with other Britespan affiliated sales organizations for best practice and strategic development Work with Britespan Operations on forecasting, capacity planning and inventory management Facilitates communication with dealer install teams and engineering to provide input to design changes prior to implementation Manage French Agriculture marketing directives and liaise with Marketing department to ensure brand compliance and consistency Work with the marketing department to understand and communicate marketing messages to the field Fosters a team environment and positive culture Must be able to maintain flexible hours to fit the schedule of the customers Support and compliance to KPI reporting, procedures and policies Other duties as assigned by senior management All employees are to participate in, and positively contribute to the company culture, Health and Safety initiatives, continuous improvement and abide by the Employment Standards Act and all company policies and procedures while maintaining a customer service mindset.
