The position is responsible for ensuring that multiple equipment types within the Ontario region are fully operational when needed, and that the facilities are kept in good condition.

The Maintenance Manager ensures that repair work is performed in compliance with federal and provincial regulations.

The position is responsible for identifying capital repair work and the contractors that will perform the work (if required).

The Maintenance Manager must build a level of trust with Operations so that their productivity objectives can be met by working with Maintenance.

Additionally, the Maintenance Manager is ultimately responsible for the training and development of the Maintenance Coaches.Your role:Development and execution of regular preventive maintenance on all material handling and facilities equipment and assets.Ensure appropriate safety and regulatory compliance in the condition and usage of all physical assets at the facilities.Partner with Location General Managers of each site, on maintenance projects, operational needsDevelop annual budgets and manage monthly expenses per the budgetReview & approve Vendor Contracts, Monitor or direct contractor workSource suppliers and service providers as required supporting facility operations in accordance with corporate purchasing and contracting.Develop and implement capital projects to appropriately maintain equipment and improve RDC performance and productivity.Ensure appropriate inventory of spare parts and equipment to serve RDC needs.Ensures proper control of payroll for direct reports and other assigned expenses.Identify, validate, and implement new PM technologies and techniquesDevelop and mentor coaches and staffShare new techniques and improvements with other Maintenance Managers within the network, apply learnings to local maintenance practicesReview training checklist and test for proficiencyTroubleshoot and adjust Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programsExigences du posteThe qualifications we are looking for:High School diploma or GED equivalent with 6-10 years’ experience.

University/College or Technical school training in Business Management or Engineering an asset.Proven record for complying with safety requirements, and ability to build a culture of safetyRead and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and various technical drawingsDetailed understanding or experience with repairing and/or maintaining the following types of systems or equipment:-Conveyors-Electro-pneumatic PLC controlled systems with photo eye detectors-Electrical systems, 600V or less-Hydraulic and pneumatic systems-Forklifts, reach trucks, floor sweepers, yard trucks-HVAC-Basic Plumbing-Fabrication and WeldingStrong leadership, organization and communication skillsCapable of managing time and budgetsDemonstrated team-building skills in a multi-facility environmentAbility to build rapport and trust with othersExperience and willingness to mentor and coach othersAbility to resolve interpersonal conflicts among team membersDemonstrated flexibility and adaptability; handles stressful conditions wellCan make solid decisions quickly based on limited information and changing conditionsHighly motivated to the team’s success; sets objectives for an organization; develops the strategies, priorities and plans to achieve those objectives; motivates and facilitates the team to achieve the goalsDemonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex problems; uses creative problem-solvingProficient with Microsoft Office Products (Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)The masculine generic is used without discrimination and only in order to simplify the text.
