Senior Project Manager Implementation Team Toronto, ON Full-time Summary The Senior Project Manager is responsible to lead the delivery of multiple projects and project teams and is responsible for ensuring a consistent and standardized approach is used by those individual teams.

Responsibilities: Establish and maintain good relationships with clients and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project.

Direct and motivate the assigned team during the project lifecycle (requirements, data, quality assurance, web, configuration, programming).

Establish and maintain a robust oversight and governance framework Work on multiple projects concurrently Set priorities, making sure they are identified and communicated, with regular follow-up with clients and the internal team.

Utilize project management knowledge to adhere to set standards with respect to project scope, time, costs and quality.

Prepare or revise estimates and timelines for the various project tasks.

Establish project plans in conjunction with the internal client team, external stakeholders, and the client.

Track the progress of the work and project status at weekly meetings (internal meetings and client meetings) and report to the governance committees.

Prepare regular project status summaries and present them to clients and team members.

Establish project risk-management strategies and apply them internally and with clients.

Upon project completion, guide the transition between the client and the internal support team.

Provide leadership in project management activities, make recommendations for improvements.

Work closely with Business Development to support the sales process (contribute to proposals; participate in finalist presentations, etc.).

Work with the IT PMO to coordinate dependencies and deliverables for core product releases Set high standards for own work and ensure high quality outcomes are achieved Set realistic and achievable expectations for deliverables Effectively communicate with senior management and clients about project status and risks Succeeding as a Senior Project Manager, will require the core qualifications and skills: Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics or a related discipline Minimum of 10 years of experience in software installation and/or benefits or defined benefit pension administration implementation, including 10 years in project management, or equivalent experience Excellent knowledge of benefit administration and/or defined contribution pension administration processes is required Proven analytical and organizational skills, ability to synthesize information, and flexibility in managing multiple projects Excellent communication skills in order to effectively discuss the status of each project and address and resolve problems that may impact project success Good ability to manage and motivate a work group Good sense of initiative and excellent problem-solving skills Work independently with minimal supervision Bilingualism is an asset Available to travel in North America INDAM LI-SW1 Job Grade: MS5 Fulfilling work that matters Morneau Shepell is in the business of helping organizations help their people and in the process, we strive to elevate ours.
