Overview: Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Territory Manager will manage sales and community engagement activities in their assigned territory (Central Alberta) in the new recreational cannabis market.This is an exciting Sales opportunity in a fast-paced industry for someone who can build customer relationships, sell in a strategic method, is data driven, and can engage and influence the community.

Scope of Role:Selling and Influencing:Understand, implement and adhere to SUNDIAL’s sales objectives, through distribution, product placement and sales volumes.Manage all accounts in their assigned territory and establish SUNDIAL as a first-choice partner with customersCreate brand awareness and community engagement within their given territoryIdentify new distribution opportunities and build partnerships that maximize profitable share and volume through distribution, visibility and serviceExecute marketing initiatives and leverage them into consumer loyalty and salesWork collaboratively across the organization and share best practice and act as a major contributor to the companyEffectively lead industry and brand education sessions with key customersPursue new opportunities to increase brand awarenessCreate and execute, approved, outlet route plans and call frequency requirementsRelationship Management:Build and maintain meaningful and valuable relationships with key stakeholdersBuild and develop relationships with managers and staff at each assigned retail location.Find unique opportunities to promote SUNDIAL’s portfolio of brands within the confines of the regulationsPlanning/Self-Management:Execute territory annual plan and commitmentsManage own time including building effective weekly/monthly schedulesMaintain and accurately track annual sales and consumer budgets on timeEffectively manage a budget to drive volume and share growth within acceptable trade practices, according to brand strategy and merchandising guidelines.

Monitor and manage sales expenses within the allotted budgetGenerate new Sales leads, event leads and sponsorship opportunities.Execute all programs within established guidelinesSupport community engagement, customer-lead training, and sampling initiativesCollaborate with the Provincial Sales Manager in planning sales activities and setting sales goals for assigned districtsOther duties as assignedKnowledge and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in business or related fieldExperience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or similar industry is an asset3-5 years’ experience in Sales, Account Management, Category Management or Trade MarketingExperience using CRM platformsProven track record in achieving sales quotes and in-store condition KPI’sPrevious success in growing brand awareness and product knowledge within a given territory, using out-of-the-box thinkingMust have reliable transportationClass 5 Driver’s LicenseRequired Competencies:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsSolid team player who promotes a culture of professionalism, integrity, quality and teamworkAbility to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environmentA technologically savvy individual who is comfortable working in a data driven environmentProven track record of working remotely and independently
